Sqn Ldr Jal Maniksha Mistry, Vr.C

During the Indo-Pak war in December 1971, Sqn Ldr Jal Maniksha Mistry was a senior pilot of a fighter bomber squadron. On 4th December, he carried out a counter air penetration mission to Kohat and caused extensive damage to the airfield.

On 5th December, while he was leading a formation of two aircraft on a strike mission to the heavily defended Sakesar radar station, the aircraft flown by his No.2 became unserviceable.
